Walima

Walima reception looks — luminous, softer bridal pieces for your walima.

In Short

What does a South Asian bride wear to each ceremony?

A South Asian wedding spans several ceremonies, each with its own look, a red or jewel-toned lehenga or gown for the Baraat, lighter florals and yellows for the Mehndi, an elegant ensemble for the Nikkah, and a refined gown or saree for the Walima or Reception. Karigur dresses every moment, made to order or taken ready.

Walima bridals, composed and regal.

The Walima is the reception, and the look turns composed. Karigur's Walima bridals favour refined silhouettes, gowns and structured lehengas in antique gold, ivory, and jewel tones, with couture kaam that holds the light. Made to order for the night that closes the wedding.

Bridal Looks for Every South Asian Ceremony

A Pakistani or Indian wedding unfolds across several ceremonies, and Karigur dresses each one, from the Nikkah and Mehndi to the Baraat, Walima, and Reception. Our looks are designed in our Karachi studio and finished and fitted at our Toronto flagship, with heritage handwork such as zardozi, dabka, and naqshi.

How do I choose looks across multiple ceremonies?

Most brides plan two to four looks across their events, a statement piece for the Baraat, something lighter and joyful for the Mehndi, and refined ensembles for the Nikkah, Walima, or Reception. In a private consultation we map your ceremonies, palette, and timeline together so each look feels distinct yet connected.

Made to order or ready, which is right for me?

Every Karigur piece is the same whether made to order or taken ready. If your dates allow, a made-to-order commission is shaped to your measurements and vision; for shorter timelines, take a piece ready and fitted to you. Your timeline decides, we will guide you in your consultation.
